Catherine Muckle

Hi! I’m Catherine Muckle (she/her), a Pilates and fitness instructor, professional dancer, new mam, and the director of Controlling with Fitness CIC, where I run acrobatics and circus provisions in Northumberland. I began my teaching journey in 2012, and I’ve dedicated myself to sharing the transformative power of movement ever since.

I became a qualified pre- and postnatal Pilates instructor in 2014, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in a variety of settings, including studios, gyms, leisure centres, and for different organisations. My focus is always on making Pilates accessible for everyone, regardless of their background or experience level.

As a new mam,I understand the importance of supporting women during their postnatal journey. My motto is simple: “Every body should be moving.” I truly believe that movement is for everybody, and I’m dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where everyone can explore their potential through movement, helping them build strength, confidence, and a sense of community.
